Junior Cycle
Engineering is a Junior Certificate course which allows students to make things out of metals & plastics, including electronics. It exposes them to different applications of technology. They learn about design and use different machines, materials, tools and processes to make their projects.
In 1st and 2nd year students will cover both practical and theory. This is done through textbooks as well as suitable and challenging projects
2023-24 Junior Cert Project - Model Gullwing Vehicle
The exam is split into 70% (210 marks) for the physical project and 30% (70 marks) for a written exam; 280 total marks.
The completed coursework must be available for assessment by Friday 19th April 2024.
