Musical
About
The musical is a tradition that dates back to the school's opening. The first musical was held in St. Colmcille's Church before the school was fully built. Every year, it brings the whole school together and cultivates a sense of community. Many students feel it helps them develop confidence, meet new people, and make memories. It is all thanks to Ms Kelly, Ms Walsh, Ms Kerins, the art department, and of course, the students that we can keep up this wonderful tradition.
Musical 2024 - Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat
This year's Musical was Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. It is based on Joseph in the Bible. He is the favourite of Jacob's 12 sons, and is given a coat by his father. His brothers are jealous, so they sell him into slavery in Egypt. Ultimately he becomes the Pharaoh's second-in-command and forgives his brothers.
This video was made in Multimedia by six TY students: Marian Stefu, Rosanna McCrystal, Kate Higgins, Mairead Kennedy, Kate Dunning and Daniel Stout. It showcases the making of the 2024 Musical. They put a lot of time and effort into it.
