School Crest
The School crest is a crucial part of our school environment, as those who wear it represent the school and what it stands for. We at St. Colmcilles feel that it is highly important that you know what it means. There are four main components to the crest: the well, the dove, the books and the ivy.
The Well represents St. Colmcilles well.
The Dove represents spirituality.
The book represents education and learning.
The ivy represents growth in our students.
Tá suaitheantas na scoile bróidnithe ar gheansaithe agus cótaí na scoile. Foinse léinn is feasa an mana atá againn sa scoil seo. Ciallaíonn sé sin go bhfuil an-tábhacht ag baint leis an oideachas agus go dtugann sé deiseanna dúinn. Tá colmán ar bharr an suaitheantais a sheasann don síocháin agus don chreideamh. Tá dhá leabhar ar a dhá thaobh a sheasann don oideachas ár ndóigh. Tá tobar Naomh Colmcille sa lár. Tobar atá lonnaithe sa cheantar atá ann agus de réir na seanscéalta stop Naomh Colmcille ann chun a thart a mhúchadh. Ag bun an suaitheantais feictear géaga a sheasann do fhás agus forbairt na ndaltaí.
