Achievements by our Pupils
Cillian Byrne & Conor O'Donoghue - Dublin Minor HurlersCongratulations to our two pupils who were part of the Dublin Minor Hurling Panel who had a fantastic victory over Kilkenny in Parnell Park last Saturday. Cillian played a huge role coming on as a second half substitute. Dublin now play wexford in the Leinster Final in July.

Rachel DunneCongratulations to Rachel Dunne who finished first in the Leinster Schools Championships, Senior 400m Hurdles on Saturday, 14th April 2016. Rachel also finished in 2nd place in the 100m Hurdles on Wednesday, 11th May 2016 in Santry. She will now go on to compete in the All-Ireland School Championships in Tullamore on the 4th June 2016. This is a remarkable achievement for our 5th year student and the school is very proud of what Rachel has accomplished.

Elisa Corcoran
Elisa was the runner up of the Irish Close Plate Championship 2016 at Lahinch golf club from the 11-15th May! She was also the runner up at the Hermitage Scratch Cup on 3rd May! It was a count back on the last 18 holes!
Kevin CoffeyKevin Coffey, in sixth year got called up for the Leinster schools soccer team and played in the Interprovincial Tournament, scoring one goal and having two assists. He was called up for Irish trials for the FAI schools. He got the call over the weekend to say he was one of the 25 picked for the Irish schools team. They start training in the next few weeks and from then 18 will be picked. This is a massive achievement for him and for our school.

Darragh Gibbons
We are delighted to announce that Darragh Gibbons (5th Year) represented St Colmcille’s Community School in the InspireSport Centenary Shield International vs. Northern Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day in Arklow Town FC.
Darragh was selected for the Irish schools team to participate in the Centenary Shield for the 2016 campaign. They played against Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England. Winning two and drawing two and coming in 2nd place behind England. InspireSport Centenary Shield Fixtures Friday, April 8 England vs. Republic of Ireland in Park Hall Stadium, The New Saints FC, Oswestry, KO 7.30pm. Thursday, April 14 Republic of Ireland vs. Scotland in Celtic Park, Killarney Celtic FC, KO 7pm. Thursday, April 28 Wales vs. Republic of Ireland in Llandudno, KO 7pm. |
