Funding & Voluntary Subs

St Colmcille’s Community School Parents’ Association relies on voluntary subscriptions from its parents to fund its activities, which benefit all our children. Examples of the ways your money is put to use include providing funding for:
  • Lab Technician, Librarian and IT support
  • Career Guidance support
  • Library books
  • Talks for parents and students
  • Student counselling and support
  • Sports kits
  • Access to Studyclix
  • Debs Reception

The suggested voluntary subscription is €250 per family, however we welcome any contribution, however small.
Voluntary subscriptions can be paid online with Easy Payments Plus or by cheque.  Cheques should be made payable to St Colmcille's Community School Parents' Association.

Tax back - the Parents’ Association can claim thousands of euro every year thanks to tax relief given by the Revenue to approved bodies.  This is a straightforward and simple process, which allows your subscription to go even further.

Any tax payer, either PAYE or self-assessed, who donates €250 or more in a year to the Parents’ Association, can fill out a CHY3 form and allow the Parents’ Association to reclaim tax on their donations. Since January 2013, higher and standard rates of tax no longer apply, replaced by a composite rate of 31%. Your donation of €250 is therefore worth €362.32 to the Parents’ Association.

Please send cheques, completed standing order and CHY3 forms to the school office. All correspondence should be marked for the attention of the Parents’ Association. Please include  your family name and address so that we can update our records correctly.
