Students studying maths at Ordinary Level must purchase Concise Maths 3. Those studying maths at Higher Level must purchase Concise Maths 4 now and Concise Maths 5 at a later date.

Academic Competitions and other Co-curricular Activities

Our fifth year students are encouraged to embrace the various in-school co-curricular activities, quizes and national competitions that are run throughout the academic year.
 
In October, during the annual Maths Week, NUI Galway run what is called the Senior PRISM challenge. This is a nationwide challenge run in over 100 second level schools throughout the country. The results of this challenge are compiled by NUI Galway and presented on the PRISM website.

The Maths department organise prizes for the top students at both Junior and Senior levels. Later in the year all our fifth year students will be given the chance to take part in the annual Hamilton maths Challenge that is organised on a national basis by NUI Maynooth.
 
All our fifth year students are also invited to attend the various extra-curricular lectures, demonstrations and videos that will be organised in the Demo room at various stages throughout the academic year.
