Junior
Certificate Curriculum
All students will
take the
following core set of subjects:
Irish, English,
Maths, History, Geography, French/German, CSPE, SPHE, Science,
Religious Education, Physical Education, Computer Science.
Students
also choose two of the following
optional subjects at Junior Certificate, having studied four subjects
in First Year:
Art, Business Studies,
French/German, Home Economics, Materials Technology Metal, Materials
Technology Wood, Music, Technical Graphics

Leaving
Certificate Curriculum
Students have a
choice of
the
Leaving Certficate Established or the
Leaving
Certificate Applied (see below)
Students
following the Leaving Certificate Established
will study
the following
core set of subjects:
Irish,
English, Maths, French / German, CSPE, SPHE, Physical Education,
Information Technology
Students also choose three
of the following optional subjects:
Art, Accounting,
Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Construction Studies, Economics,

Year Curriculum

Transition Year programme. In these slides you will also find useful
information on how the Transition year programme is applied in St.
Colmcille's Community School.
