Brief
Overview of St Colmcilles CS
This
long awaited
second-level co-educational school opened with 120 first year students
and 12 staff on September 4th 2000, so I suppose it can rightfully be
called a 'Millenium School'. The splendid, state of the art school is
the proud fruit of a 20-year long battle for the residents of
Knocklyon. At present it caters for over 700 students and has over 60
staff working within its various departments. A Catholic ethos
gently pervades all aspects of school life.Now as we approach the 10th
anniversary of our opening, we can look back with pride and see that
the school has proved to be a resounding success thanks to all students
and staff and of course with thanks to the
support and backing of the wider Knocklyon community.
